Tottenham Hotspur should consider making a move for Newcastle United attacker Ayoze Perez this summer.
Why Perez?
A recent report in The Sun claimed that Spanish side Real Betis are keen on signing the 24-year-old, who moved to St James’ Park from Tenerife in 2014.
Perez ended the season as Newcastle’s top scorer with 10 goals in all competitions, and he also contributed with five assists in 36 Premier League outings.
Tottenham will be looking to strengthen their squad this summer as they try to take that next step in a brand new stadium.
The future of Fernando Llorente is uncertain, which means that there will be an opening for a second-string forward.
Perez has versatility in that he can play in a forward position, as well as just behind the striker.

Would Perez want Tottenham?
Joining genuine trophy contenders over staying at a club with financial difficulties seems to be a no-brainer.
However, it would be almost impossible for Perez to dislodge star man Harry Kane, which could make his playing time limited.
From Tottenham’s point of view, Perez does not quite carry the weight of a big name.
The fans may feel underwhelmed if the Spaniard signs on the dotted line, but he could prove to be a useful addition for a relatively cheap price.
