Leeds United have confirmed the signing of Jean-Kevin Augustin, who has signed on loan with a view to a permanent transfer in the summer.

Usually, during these time periods, players have a tendency to go silent on social media, but Augustin seemingly couldn’t stay away from Twitter in the build-up to his move being confirmed as he liked a number of posts about his move to Yorkshire.

Augustin hasn’t been coy about liking posts on social media and ramping up the speculation, but after an agent reportedly working on the deal told Football Insider that it’s done, it seemed as though it was just a matter of time before it went through. Indeed, it was then officially announced on Monday morning.

Of course, this may have been some top-level trolling from the Frenchman in an attempt to get many United fans’ hopes up for a bit of fun, but it appears that he was telling the truth after all.
