Alec Stewart played in 133Tests, keeping wicket in 82, opening in 45, and captaining in 15 … but henever did all three in the same match. Three people have taken on thisonerous triple responsibility, though: South Africa’s Percy Sherwell, in seven Testsshortly before the First World War; Gerry Alexander of West Indies, intwo Tests in Pakistan in 1958-59; and Pakistan’s Imtiaz Ahmed, in three Testsbetween 1959-60 and 1961-62.What’s the record for most stumpings in a Test innings, and a match?asked Jim Trafford from Surrey

Ahead ofthe fourth Test, are there any other Aussies who have never been out forzero? asked Vivek Rajagopal from Delhi
Sorry to disappoint you, but the only members of Australia’s current squadwho haven’t ever collected a Test duck are bowlers – Brad Hogg, MitchellJohnson and Tait – apart from opener Chris Rogers, who madehis debut at Perthand scored 4 and 15.Rogers made his Test debut at the WACA, but he’s already 30.Australia were always renowned for picking youngsters. Who was the last manto make his debut for them when he was over 30? asked Clem Williamsfrom Leeds
It wasn’t too long ago, actually – two of Rogers’s Perth team-mates didn’twear the baggy green until they were 30 years old. They were Stuart Clark, who made hisdebut against South Africa atCape Town in March 2006, and Michael Hussey, whose debutcame against West Indies atBrisbane four months earlier. Rogers, by theway, was the 399th man to play a Test for Australia – so their next debutantwill wear No. 400.
