Liverpool fans applauded the celebration from goalkeeper Alisson Becker following his side’s 2-0 victory against Manchester United on Sunday.
The Reds sailed to a win over their North-West neighbours, which extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to 16 points ahead of Manchester City. Goals from Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah sealed the three points for the Merseysiders and sent the Red Devils home with the tails between legs back down the M62. During the jubilations at Anfield, there was one moment that caught the eye of the Kop faithful.
The Brazilian shot-stopper used his intelligent distribution qualities to send a long ball to Mohamed Salah that put him through one-on-one with United’s David De Gea. Despite being challenged by Daniel James, the Egyptian shrugged the Welshman off and calmly finished to send Anfield into raptures. Alisson ran the length of the pitch, past all of his teammates, and did a knee slide towards Liverpool’s No. 11 before he embraced the shirtless Salah.
