As Wolves sit pretty in and amongst the European spots in the Premier League, Nuno Espirito Santo would be forgiven for giving himself a big old pat on the back.
The Portuguese man has guided the Molineux side to remarkable heights, considering they were only promoted to the top-flight a couple of seasons ago.
Naturally, he will want to keep faith with the players who have served him well so far, and will be reluctant to rock the boat too much.

But one youngster who should be afforded more of a chance than he has been getting, is Oskar Buur. The 21-year-old has played just twice for the first-team this season, but even one of those appearances lasted only two minutes when he came on in the FA Cup against Manchester United.
Following his Europa League performance against Besiktas in which he got an assist, former Wolves man Matt Jarvis waxed lyrical about what the defender brought to the table. He said: “I think the second-half he looked much more confident. That does your confidence the world of good coming in and getting an assist. Even after that he’s still bursting forward, he’s still making crosses into the box and he deserves a lot of credit.”
From green pitch to silver screen: What productions did these famous footballers star in?
Even Nuno himself has talked up the potential of Buur, and that in itself should be an indication that the starlet is deserving of greater first-team opportunities.
“We did last season with Max Kilman, and this season Oskar is 100 percent a first-team player. It is in line with our philosophy and we are happy for him. He works well and is an opportunity for us.”
As Nuno brings up, Wolves did bring Kilman into the first-team fold last season, and has now made 11 appearances for the senior side this year. It’s about time Buur is afforded the same.
Based on the kind of praise that has headed his way by the likes of Nuno, and Jarvis, it is clear to see that this is someone with bags of potential and just needs to be let off the reins.
Meanwhile, this Wolves ace has given Nuno a headache after his performance against Olympiacos.
